One Foundation is a private philanthropic fund based in Dublin, Ireland and is registered as a charity with the Irish Charities Regulatory Authority (CHY14865). The One Foundation was historically set up in 2013 as a 10-year limited lifeline philanthropic initiative which was eventually winded down. But in 2016 it re-emerged as a charity to tackle the impending refugee/migration crisis.
One of the main aims of the One Foundation is to significantly improve the life chances of refugees and the vulnerable people by supporting leading non-profit organisations, such as the O NEx UNICEF program in Jordan that received coverage in Forbes for providing refugee youth with innovative social entrepreneurship skills to make a lasting sustainable impact within their current community and on their future return to Syria.
The One Foundation is founded on strong business principles, and believes that ‘active philanthropy’ can be a powerful way to generate long-term solutions to issues facing refugees and vulnerable people today. This means that the One Foundation also invests in skills, technical supports, and other resources in non-profit organisations that share its vision to help them make an impact.
